Author Guideline

The Arab Journal of Humanities and Social Studies publishes scientific research according to the following publishing rules:

First: General conditions for submitting research.

It should be characterized by originality, innovation, scientific and methodological novelty.

It should be accurate in documentation and graduation.

It should be free from linguistic and typographical errors.

It should not have been previously published or submitted for publication in any other entity, and in any language.

Commitment to scientific integrity, and the methods, tools and means considered in its field.

Commitment to mentioning the participating researchers - if the research is joint - and stating the role of each researcher, and proving their approval in the publication form.

Commitment not to mention the name of the researcher or researchers in the text of the research explicitly, or with any indication that reveals his or their identity, but rather the word (researcher) or (researchers) is used instead of the name.

The research should not exceed (100 pages) of A4 type, including appendices, tables and references.

Submitting the research to the journal is an acknowledgment of commitment to all the rules of publication in the journal.

Submitting the research to the journal is an acknowledgment of ownership of the intellectual property rights of the entire research.

Second: Submission procedures:

The researcher submits his application through the website of the Arab Journal of Humanities and Social Studies via e-mail: editor@ajhass.com

Attach two summaries in Arabic and English, not exceeding (250 words) with key words that express the areas covered by the research, and not exceeding five words.

Commitment to filling in all fields in the research writing form before sending the research to the journal's e-mail.

Third: Scientific material:

Attach all pictures and drawings related to the research, provided that they are clear and obvious.

Romanization of Arabic sources and references into English letters.

Consider arranging the research elements as follows: introduction, problem and its questions, objectives, importance, limits, terms, theoretical framework and previous studies, methodology and procedures, results and discussion, conclusion and recommendations, list of references.

Document references and citations according to the style of the American Psychological Association (APA 7th edition). Or footnotes.

Refer to references in the text by mentioning the author's last name, then the year of publication, then the page number in parentheses, and arrange references at the end of the research in alphabetical order according to the family name, then the author's first name, then the year of publication, then the title, then the place of publication, then the publishing house.

Translate the Arabic abstract into English.
The Arabic abstract will be evaluated.
The English abstract will be evaluated.
The research should include recent references, preferably from Scopus.
Place Scopus references twice, once in the research references and once in a separate reference list titled Scopus References so that it is easy for the referee to access them if possible.

Fourth: Arbitration Policy:

The editorial board shall examine the research initially and decide whether it is eligible to complete the arbitration procedures or reject it, and the researcher shall be notified of the initial result of accepting or rejecting the research arbitration within a period not exceeding (10) working days from the date of submitting the request.

The research arbitration shall be subject to complete confidentiality by not disclosing the names of the researchers or arbitrators.

The arbitrator shall be obligated to apologize for the arbitration if the research is not in his precise field of specialization, or if he does not have sufficient experience in it.

The arbitrator shall be obligated to respond with approval or rejection of the arbitration request (within a period not exceeding five days from the date of sending the arbitration request letter to him).

In the event of a difference in the arbitration result in approving or rejecting the research, the research shall be sent to a deciding arbitrator.

The research arbitration period shall take from the date of receipt of the research until the arbitrators’ notes are sent to the researcher for a period not exceeding (20) days.

To pass the arbitration, each arbitrator's score must not be less than 85.

The researcher is obligated to review the notes received from the arbitrators and amend them within a period not exceeding (20) days from the date of sending the notes to him, and the journal has the right to dismiss the research in the event of a breach of this.

The researcher will be notified in the event of the research being accepted or rejected.

The arbitrator is obligated to ensure that his notes on the research are detailed according to the approved arbitration model, and not to be satisfied with the general examination and arbitration, and to direct his notes to the research and not to the researcher himself.

In the event that the arbitrator refers to plagiarism or plagiarism in the scientific material that he is arbitrating, he is obligated to refer to the paragraphs in which plagiarism or plagiarism occurred, attaching evidence of this.

Fifth: Publishing the research:

The researcher undertakes in writing not to publish the research in other publication media without written permission from the journal.

The researcher is committed to formatting the research according to the approved printing format for the magazine's production.

The researcher is granted a letter of acceptance of the research for publication after fulfilling all the publishing rules and paying the publishing fees.

The published research does not represent the opinion of the university, but rather the opinion of the researcher himself, and the university does not bear any legal responsibility for this research.

All publishing rights are transferred to the magazine, and the research may not be published in any other publication outlet, whether in print or electronically, without written permission from the editorial board.

Integrity and Scientific Honesty Policy:

The journal is committed to respecting intellectual property rights and preventing any infringement on the ideas of others in any way.

The journal prohibits quotation, which is the transfer of paragraphs or lines from other works belonging to the same person or to others, at a rate exceeding 20% ​​of the research material.

The journal prohibits plagiarism, which is the preparation of a new work or part of a new work based on another work of the same person at any rate of the research material.

The journal rejects fraud, which is the presentation of misleading information or results, or the concealment of information that affects the evaluation of the research.

The journal rejects plagiarism, which is the claim of ownership of a work owned by another, or the attribution of results to oneself.

The journal's editorial board has the right to withdraw the research if it finds conclusive evidence of plagiarism, or if it is proven that there is unreliable data, duplicate publication, or unethical behavior.

The journal has the right to refuse publication for any author who has been proven to have violated the principles of integrity and scientific honesty.

Seventh: Fees

The fees for publishing a single research paper in the journal with no more than 25 pages are 46 Kuwaiti dinars, or the equivalent of 150 US dollars. If the research paper contains more than 25 pages, 2 Kuwaiti dinars are added for each additional page.
