The Compositional Style in the Nuniyya Poem of Ahmad bin Alawiya Al-Katib on the Virtues of the Exalted Praised one, Imam Ali (peace be upon him)

Abstract

Syntactic stylistics constitutes one of the most important aspects concerned with studying the way the poet organizes his structures and sentences, and how these structures contribute to shaping meaning and creating an aesthetic effect. It does not merely consider the sentence as a grammatical construction, but goes beyond that to view it as an artistic tool that reveals the poet's emotions, clarifies his intentions, and opens new semantic horizons within the text. Based on this, the study of syntactic stylistics in Ahmed bin Alawiya's poetic composition represents an approach to understanding the status of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) on one hand, and embodying his emotional feelings on the other. The sentence structure in this poem is not just a linguistic form, but an essential expressive tool that clearly shows the poet's emotion and glorifies the praised figure. This makes the analysis of structures an indispensable gateway to reading the poem and understanding its artistic and semantic essence.   The importance of the study lies in the scarcity of research addressing the poetry of Ibn Alawiya. The article reveals how syntactic stylistics goes beyond linguistic organization to become an aesthetic tool that contributes to constructing the eulogistic discourse and shaping its emotional and intellectual image. The researcher aims to uncover the syntactic features that grant the extended Nuniyya its stylistic uniqueness and to demonstrate how these features reveal the duality of poetic feeling between the anguish of questioning and the celebration of virtues.
