The Importance of Body Language in Security Work and Training Mechanisms According to International Methodologies

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of training security personnel on body language reading skills by conducting a rigorous analytical comparison between three leading international models: the American model (Behavioral Analysis Unit), the British model (PEACE investigative interview protocol), and the French model (The Synthetic Approach). The study employs a descriptive-analytical and comparative methodology to deconstruct the security philosophies, pedagogical methodologies, and technological media used in each school, ultimately constructing a proposed vision compatible with the cultural and social specificities of the Arab environment. The findings reveal a fundamental discrepancy in training objectives. At the same time, the American model prioritizes operational decisiveness and immediate detection of deception; the British model focuses on objective information gathering and on ensuring the integrity of the investigation by mitigating the risk of coerced confessions. Furthermore, the results indicate that the modern trend in global security training has shifted from relying on traditional physical cues to analyzing "cognitive load" and mental effort. This shift is supported by the extensive integration of Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate immersive simulation scenarios that enhance the accuracy of field observations. The study concludes by presenting a "proposed vision" based on a hybrid synthetic approach that merges the precision of behavioral profiling with the objectivity of investigative interviews. The study recommends contextualizing international curricula to align with Arab social behavior standards, establishing a national "behavioral data bank" to document emerging criminal patterns, and investing in digital training platforms to ensure the sustainability of training impact and to enhance a preventive security mindset in the face of contemporary crime complexities.
