A Proposed Intervention from the Perspective of the Social Work Life Model to Alleviate Life Challenges for Elderly Displaced Persons in Shelter Centers in Gaza City

This study seeks to formulate a proposed framework grounded in the Life Model within social work practice for the purpose of alleviating the life-related problems experienced by displaced older adults residing in shelter centers in Gaza City. The study adopts a descriptive design and employs the social survey method using a sampling approach. an Data collection relies on a questionnaire developed by the researcher and administered to a randomly selected sample of (380) displaced elderly individuals drawn from shelter centers in western Gaza City.The most important findings of the study: The findings indicate that the level of life-related problems experienced by displaced older adults in shelter centers in Gaza City remains high across all examined dimensions. Economic problems rank first with a percentage of (92.29%), followed by health-related problems at (91.20%), social problems at (87.02%), psychological problems at (86.26%), and family-related problems at (83.70%).The most important recommendations of the study:In light of these findings, the study formulates a proposed intervention framework derived from the Life Model perspective in social work with the aim of mitigating the life-related problems experienced by displaced older adults residing in shelter centers in Gaza City.
