Educational and Reformist Principles in Confronting Intellectual Crises

(The Kharijite crisis as a model)

Abstract

Crises and disasters are not a recent phenomenon. Some crises have occurred for centuries, and their repercussions remain deeply entrenched. Others are fleeting and temporary, disappearing immediately after their occurrence. This all depends on the nature of the crisis and its lasting impact. In this research, titled "Educational and Reformist Principles in Confronting Intellectual Crises (The Kharijite Crisis as a Model)," we will examine the concept of crisis management. However, the crisis manager here is different: Imam Ali (peace be upon him). We will extract the essence of his conclusions, as presented in his book Nahj al-Balagha, and his approach to wisely dealing with intellectual crises (using the Kharijite crisis as a model) and managing them. He addressed every possible issue, proposing solutions for all crises that might confront individuals, societies, or entities. His vision was insightful, and he foresaw many issues that might arise in the near future. This research will attempt, as much as possible, to benefit from his wise management of certain matters and extract its lessons. The research was divided into an introduction, three sections, and a conclusion summarizing the most important results reached by the research, followed by a list of sources and references from which the research obtained its scientific material.
